Self Help: Motorbike thief caught, beaten

GUJRANWALA: A motorbike thief was caught by locals in Gujranwala on Monday. They beat him and then handed him over to police. Police said Waqas stole a motorcycle and took it to mechanic Ramazan in Muslim Town. When he asked Ramazan to open its spares, they said, Ramazan became suspicious and caught Waqas. Neighbours gathered and beat Waqas. Later, they handed him over to the Girjake police. Waqas told the police that he stole motorcycles in connivance with Satellite Town Assistant Sub Inspector Shahid. Satellite Town Station House Officer Nabi Ahmed said ASI Shahid worked with the CIA police. CIA Deputy Superintendant of Police Tahir Gujjar said he would hold an inquiry.
