@Syed:
Dear Syed, thanks for your comments. Here's my point of view, with no pun, or denigration intended in any way, shape, or form...
I fully agree with you that there is only 'One Islam' and that is: 'The Commandments of Allah as related, shown, and practiced by His Messenger Muhammad (PBUH)'. This is that same Islam that the 'Ahle-Bait' devotedly followed, and that is the 'Mainstream Islam' of the 85% of the Muslims of this world.
a) Problem: Historians dispute the origin of 'Shia Islam'. This Shiism began as a political faction (Shia'tul 'Ali), rather than a truly religious movement…and got progressively more ‘emotionally-entrenched’ and ‘schismatically-muddled-up’ (Twelvers, Twenty Oners, Ismailies, Alavids, Zaidis etc.), in time with clear ‘polytheistic and paganistic’ symbols, nuances and connotations...which is intrinsically 'anathemical' to the 'Mainstream-Islam's-Core-Beliefs'...that's where this constant antagonism and hostility keeps propping up and germinating, especially on their religious-pageant-occasions and events which portray these...Shias in 'defence' of it (their beliefs), and Sunnis in its 'disapproval and objection'. Indeed the Karbela Tragedy Martyrdom (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon all of them), was an unfortunate-heart-rendering-politically-motivated-tragedy, in the annuls of Islamic history, like also were the Martyrdom of Hazrat Umar (RA), Hazrat Usman (RA), and Hazrat Ali (RA), three of the Khulfa-e-Rashideen, (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon all of them).
b) Solution in The Qur'an: 2.134 Those are a people who have passed away. Theirs is that which they earned, and yours is that which you earn. And you will not be asked of what they used to do.
Allah is the best and the Most Just of Judges. All the past, the present, and the future is in His Mainframe-Data-Base, and He will Judge on the Day of Judgment, and each one of us will be requited with what we have fairly earned.
My humble advise is that they should ‘stop’ digging-up-past-history to generate ‘unnecessary-hate-tabarra-villification-and-implication’ of the Companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), for 40 days continuously every Muharram in their Majalises. In a country where the majority Muslims are Sunni Muslims, invariably makes the environment potentially highly explosive. Lets all work on this together, and bridge this progressively widening chasm and divide...and all live happily as Muslims of the Land of the Pure. PAKISTAN ZINDABAD!
@Clear Black Bag. I am sorry but I am not sure if I understood your question. Could you please ask again.
@Introspection. There is only one Islam. We have different schools of thought. The Shias take their understanding from the Holy Imams. Prophet (pbuh&p) appointed Imam Ali a.s. as his Vasi. There are 11 Imams after Imam Ali a.s. We believe them all to be infallables. So we take it from the Holy Family of the Prophet. The processions have been happening for hundreds of years. There is nothing unIslamic about them. No where does it say if you don't participate you are kafir. This is actually a good thing so Imam Hussain's message gets out. You have no idea how much it changes our own lives. Islam zinda hota hai har karbala k baad
ATTENTION EXPRESS TRIBUNE ADMINISTRATORS! I NORMALLY FEEL THAT YOU ARE QUIET FAIR AND NEUTRAL, AND NOT TWISTED, OR BIGOTED. BUT, I HAVE BEEN PUTTING UP MY QUERY/COMMENT TO @SYEDA, FOR THE PAST FEW HOURS, AND NO ACTION FROM YOUR END...!

@syeda: Are such 'juloos-pageantries’ allowable in Islam, or is it the hussaini version of Islam?

@Syed A. Mateen:
These terrorists elements will continue with their plan as none have been given punished due to our weak prosecution, faulty investigations & no proper law to detain such elements for a longer period so that proper investigation on modern lines are conducted against them, beside, there is no " witness protection program " due to which witnesses do not come forward to testify, & if they do they & their families are threatened so they change their statement & if they insist to testify they are killed in court or outside ( as in the case of journalist Wali Baber - all 11 witnesses killed ),so even though some of these terrorists are caught, but in absence of above mentioned weakness in our judicial process, they are left-off due to in-sufficient evidences...this not the fault of judiciary as none of above factors come under its jurisdiction...the other day Mr Malik himself conceded that Parliament has failed to pass law to prosecute the arrested terrorists....
@syeda: @Syed: Would you like answer my this question honestly,sincerely and truly and if yes then I am going to be highly to obliged to you,id est,mourning is always started after the death/martyrdom not before and after Hazrat Imam Hussain's (R.A) martyr there has not been seen any remarkable mournful gatherings in Pakistan and even life returns towards normalcy. Please never take my this question in negative sense.....
DI Khan: Pakistani law enforcing agencies on Sunday arrested Saeed Rajput, owner of a shop where explosive material got off and caused causalities to five people, from Dera Ismail Khan.

People should support the government in the decisions rather than just criticizing......well done Rehman Malik...
@Hairaan: Perhaps, if you had the advantage of good education, you would not be so hairaan. Just like you don;t want others to dictate their faith on you, please learn to accept others' faith. Live, and let live. Stop being judgmental. Unless of course the good lord has appointed you as a judge.
Except for loss of innocent lives in DI Khan, overall situation in whole country remained peacefull. Great job Rehman Malik and provincial govenments.
If the mobike and cellular services are banned to save lives of Pakistanis, then VIVA! My support will always be there to save the innocent and catch the offending self-appointed guardians of the faith. All saner and educated elements in society favor and support it. It not only saves the lives of our Shiite brothers but brings peace and harmony.
As for catching the different Taliban, Lashkars and Sipahs, when and where did they find the book or scholar that allows them to acclaim "self-righteousness?"
The government had better come to its senses and develop the country by spreading education and economics. To quote: "An inch of Time cannot be bought with an inch of Gold"...Anon

@hairaan. Shias follow their own school of thought so don't always act like an idiot. You seem like a Taliban with a PC
@Hairaan: Salam sir...........so you are the new final authority on islam.
@something clever Their means may be wrong, but I repeat there is nothing absolutely wrong in their objective. After all why was Pakistan created in the first place ? Why is it even called "Islamic Republic of Pakistan" if we do not want shariah? Pakistan may well have been named "Democratic Republic of Pakistan for god's sake". Think.. we wanted an Islamic state but we do not want Islamic law to prevail. This just does not make any sense.
@Momin: Demanding is different from blowing people up. If all they did was complain then they'd fit right into a democracy. Democracy is quite pleasant to loud, even mentally unsound complainers. The Taliban are depraved murderers of people who rarely have any influence in what they demand. In fact, they don't diplomatically request anything. They say "do this or die."
@picture Self-inflicting wounds is Haram in Islam. Suicide is its advance form which is also Haram.
@momin Wow! People like you DO exist.
Thank you all of my sunni brothers for cooperating ! good work rangers and police , and yes thank u all of media personals who were covering the procession fearlessly.
Are Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are MUSLIMS? WHY THEY USE NAME OF PAKISTAN?
@Pushtun voice
Article 227 of the Pakistan’s constitution says “All existing laws shall be brought in conformity with the injunctions of Islam” and “no law shall be enacted which is repugnant to such injunctions.”
Implementation of this article is all that the Taliban is demanding. They are on the right side of the law. So, why are the Taliban getting blamed over and over again?
Pushtun voice: Shia are the loudest voice of protest against tyranny and oppression. Hence tyrants want to silence Shia first.
Didn'r realize Shias were responsible for drone attacks. How are the Taliban apologists going to spin this vicious attack.
YA HUSSAIN (A.S)!
The spirit that the Shia Muslim community has shown over the past few days is exemplary to say the least. Only when people stand up for what they believe in and not give in to intimidation and terror can this country and world as a whole can prosper. I urge people belonging to different schools of thought and religions to take this as an example and to stop letting the terrorists win by making us weak-willed and scared. Bravo Shi'ites and thank you for showing us the way!
Enough is enough....they r targeting innocent people contumaciously women children.they r among us front of us every body knows they r the production of zia's era n now become the terrorist killing Pakistanis. govt. shud take strict actions n show them to media.
Well done tribune
The mentally sick people will keep on disturbing the peaceful environment of the country by various means.
The government should deal with such culprits with iron hand and no one should be spared to create chaos any where in the country.
I am glad that government has blocked the cellular as well as PTCL wireless service to avoid any more destruction in the country, but the lawbreakers and the terrorists will not leave any stone unturned to create law and order situation.
Strict security measures have been taken and my wish is that 10th of Moharram should pass peacefully and without any more casualties.
cellular service of some cellular company were not suspended in our area the tellenor is not working but jazz is working similar is also in other parts whey TTP claim that they will succeeded in his planing.
plz keep up-dating specially about the names of victims....
I don't mind cellphones blockage, if it saves lives of our shiite brothers. I support this decision by govt.
Pakistan is in war position.. every one should cooperate with government of pakistan regarding security measures.be vigilant.
