Locals told The Express Tribune that the house of Abdul Sattar was under construction in Mohallah Jogan Shah, Shah Qabool inside the walled city. On Saturday, the roof of the house collapsed onto a neighbouring house.
Local people and rescue volunteers pulled the woman and her two children from under the debris of the roof. The woman was rescued in an injured condition and shifted to the Lady Reading Hosptial (LRH).
Her two children, brother and sister Ali and Sadaf were also taken out but they died before reaching the hospital.
Local people said that the house of Abdul Sattar was under construction and its debries fell in the adjecent house owned by Ijaz Khan.
Rescue workers faced many difficulties in their rescue operation given the narrow width of streets and sealing of the city due to Muharram.
