Cyber vandalism: Hackers deface Google Pakistan
Google’s Pakistan page, along with hundreds of other .pk domains, was hacked and defaced early on Saturday. The hackers, who went by the name ‘eboz’, replaced Google’s logo with a picture of two penguins walking up a bridge at sunset.
Google is the most common search engine for surfers and news of the hack went viral early in the morning, providing perfect fodder for Pakistani bloggers and twitterati. The day started with countless blogs and tweets reporting the development.
Yes, google.com.pk, along with 284 other .pk domains, was hacked today, reported Propakistani, a technology blog based in Islamabad.
“The defacement was due to [the] change in DNS entries for 284 .pk domains that are managed by MarkMoniter,” said a blog post quoting Irfan Ahmed, an expert on Pakistani websites and web-servers.
Under normal operations, people accessing Google from Pakistan are redirected to Google.com.pk. However, after the defacement, they were directed to the international page.
According to Propakistani, Microsoft.pk, apple.pk, paypal.pk, ebay.pk, blogspot.pk, chrome.pk and cisco.pk were among the pages defaced.
No one has claimed responsibility for the defacement of the domains. However, according to most bloggers, the hackers left a message in Turkish on the vandalised Google page. ‘Pakistan Downed’ was the only English phrase in the entire message.
So far, The Express Tribune has been unable to contact Google’s country consultant, Badar Khusnood, or Haseeb Shaukat of Microsoft, due to the suspension of cellular services. Emails sent to both have not been answered yet.

may be a act of israeli or indian hackers. whether hacked by turkish hackers is doubtful
no trace of turkish hacker who done this. mostly an act of indian hackers

yeah, yahoo.pk is a redirecting domain that redirects to yahoo.com.
yahoo.pk ,paypal.pk do not even exist? is this some kind of joke ?
They may be INdian Hackers because there's no dispute between Pakistan and Turkey.
And writing the message in Turkish language is not a big problem. Any message in any language can easily be translated into any language through Google Translator.

Israeli answer to pious Pakistani Muslim hackers.
this act was also shown in a movie called "ek tha tiger" the Pakistani sites are hacked for the indian governmental purposes.
Turkish hackers alongwith indian hackers including rock india, code injector were behind this hack.
just a few days back Pakistanis had hacked Israeli websites, i think this to be a Israeli retaliation. if it is, i wouldn't label it as a retaliation. considering the Israelis might in cyber technology, hacking is just too cheap fro them. remember STUXNET and FLAME malware and worms that Israelis had unleashed on Iranian computers. Israelis,Americans,Russians and the Chinese, these are the countries who have the most advanced skills when it comes to hacking.
