Development projects: FATA ACS highlights initiative

Fata Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Dr Tashfeen Khan said that the socio-economic development of the tribal areas is the government’s first priority. Khan was addressing participants of the 12th National Management Course Lahore at the Fata Secretariat. “Improvement in Fata’s security situation is one of the reasons that major developmental initiatives have been decided to be initiated,” he said. Initiaives like the extension of the Political Parties Act, the construction of the Peshawar-Torkham Road and the establishment of the Investment Bank of Fata will bring prosperity and provide employment opportunities, he said.
