Iqbal Day: Punjab University to remain closed on Monday

All departments of the Punjab University will remain closed on Monday in lieu of the Iqbal Day holiday.


The university administration had decided to celebrate the Iqbal Day and organised a number of activities keeping all departments open on November 9.

The National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC), a project of Higher Education Commission, mandated to accredit agriculture degree programmes, has accredited degree programmes of the Institute of Agriculture Sciences, University of the Punjab.

workshops


The Department of Applied Psychology will organise a three-day International Conference on Applied Psychology (ICAP) on December 16 at the department. In a press statement issued here on Saturday, Department of Applied Psychology Chairperson Prof Dr Rukhsana Kausar said the pre-post conference and workshops related to the descriptions of psychology would also be conducted on December 15, 16 and 19.

Separately, Punjab University Centre for Coal Technology Director Prof Dr Shahid Munir participated in a meeting for deliberations on a final report draft submitted by M/s Snowden on evaluation and re-authentication of coal reserves in the Salt Range and Trans Indus Range.

The Punjab Mines and Mineral Department had engaged M/s Snowden, an Australian consulting firm, for the purpose.
