Former number one Luke Donald’s goal to win back-to-back victories appears to be on track

Former number one Luke Donald’s goal to win back-to-back victories appears to be on track after his up-beat start at the DP World Tour Championship, according to ESPN. It could have played out better for Donald, as he showed he is mortal with the short stick when leaving a six-footer on the high side on the 16th. “I had a stretch in the middle of the round where I felt I could not miss,” Donald told Sky Sports. “I just had a good feel for the speed and the lines and the speed. It is fun to play golf when it feels that easy.” However, the current number one Rory McIlroy proved him himself that he was in the hunt with a round of 66, to put himself on top of the leaderboard.
