BDS defuses two bombs in Peshawar

Both the bombs were planted on footpaths, camouflaged among the blocks.

PESHAWAR: The Bomb Disposal Squad, on receiving tip offs, defused two explosive devices on the main GT Road in Peshawar on Thursday, reported Express News.

According to Express News correspondent Yasir Ali, the first bomb was planted under the flyover opposite the city university and it was camouflaged among the footpath blocks.

The police cordoned off the area as the squad began searching for another bomb which was defused as well. The second bomb was also planted on the footpath.

The two bombs, when they were defused, caused small explosions. However, no injuries were reported.

The area has now been declared clear.

People gathered around the area and clapped to appreciate the security officials’ efforts of successfully defusing the bombs.
