LAHORE: Australian Deputy High Commissioner Paul Molloy said on Wednesday that Australian visa requirements for Pakistani businesspersons have been relaxed to some extent, while work is being done to ensure the business community has easy access to Australian markets. Molloy was speaking at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). The diplomat said that Australia wants to strengthen its relations with Pakistan further, and has relaxed visa procedures to this end. He also invited Pakistani businesspersons to initiate joint ventures with their Australian counterparts. He said Pakistani businessmen should avail Australia’s expertise in agriculture and livestock as this would help double the country’s output. He said the Australians possess the latest technology as far as these two areas are concerned, and that a little effort in this direction could work miracles.
