ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has ordered promotion of the former police chief of Balochistan in grade-22 with retrospective date and all perks. The IHC chief Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman, announcing his verdict on a constitutional petition, has held that Major (retd) Malik Muhammad Habib Khan was eligible for promotion in grade 22 on April 1, 2004 but he became victim of political victimization during the tenure of the former president General Pervez Musharraf and was ignored. The court ordered his promotion with retrospective date of April 1, 2004 and directed the PM Secretariat, Cabinet Division and Establishment Division to ensure compliance with the court order.
