‘Special checking’: 20 arrested, 20 bikes impounded

All police stations in the city have been directed by IG Amin to monitor their areas strictly.

ISLAMABAD: Twenty suspects were arrested and 25 motorcycles were impounded in sectors I-10 and I-11 during what police described as “special checking” on Sunday. The checking was conducted by the Sabzi Mandi police on directions of Senior Superintendent of Islamabad Police Yaseen Farooq, said a police spokesperson. The checking is part of special measures being taken by the police to ensure “foolproof security” in line with Inspector General of Islamabad Police (IG) Bani Amin’s orders, added the spokesperson. All police stations in the city have been directed by IG Amin to monitor their areas strictly, said the police spokesperson.
