Bilawal Bhutto to step into electoral politics from Larkana on Dec 27
Starting January 2013, Bilawal will tour several districts across the country along with party’s central leadership and will hold meetings with party leaders and members.
His tour will begin from the Lyari area of Karachi, said PPP sources who added that President Asif Ali Zardari has been holding meetings with party’s senior leadership regarding country’s political situation and other party affairs.
The president also held extensive talks during his Multan visit, after which he directed Bilawal to take responsibility of party’s crucial matters.
A committee, consisting of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Jahangir Badar, Amin Fahim, Khurshid Shah, Naveed Qamar, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Manzoor Watto, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Faryal Talpur and eight other senior party members, has been constituted to assist Bilawal.
The committee, along with the party chairman, will decide on the strategy to be adopted during the upcoming elections.
All party leaders have been directed to initiate public relations campaign immediately and all federal and provincial ministers, MNAs, MPAs and senators have been directed to ensure their presence at least two days in offices in all cities, districts, tehsils, towns and wards. They were directed to contact the people and try to solve their problems.
According to sources, the PPP government will also issue a report on the party’s performance during the past five years in power. The central party leadership has issued directives to the information department in this regard.

He does not know even ABC of Pakistani politics. He has no knowledge of problems which Pakistan is facing now. PPP Government of which he is Chairman has plunged the country in the darkness and has done nothing for the country and the poor people of Pakistan during the last five years except corruption. People are now fully aware of their rights and will vote for PPP onl after seeing its past performance in 5 years which is extremely disappointing. There is democracy in the country and not monarchy. At present he is underage and cannot contest any election However there is no harm if he enters politics.

One thing is for sure that this family is starving for power and if we (Pakistanis) had even an ounce of sense we would realize that. Bilawal holds the top position in his party just because of his mother was bhutto. The fact that their father changed their names to bhutto definetly not out of love for his wife (Benazir) but to fool the public that his (zardari's) kids are bhutto and they are born to rule this country!?! this is ridiculous and comical. Some people even go to the extent saying Bilawal is the next P.M. He has achieved nothing in his life yet and hasn't proved anything unlike his mother. Not questioning his intelligence but he should prove himself worthy. IMHO no PPP this time round. May Allah give us all sense.

After the 18th Amendment, a party head has become so strong that he can even unseat a sitting PM of his party and if he is also the President, enjoying immunity, as is the case these days in Pakistan, the system can be termed anything but democracy. Add to it the 'biradari system' the present dispensation is turning into a dynastic monarchy in which the off-shoots of the present leadership would automatically inherit the throne - welcome zil-e-subhan, His Majesty King Bilawal to the take over and rule the country.

They have done nothing during the last fiive years and what expectations can be fulfilled by this new chap? Pakistan was not created for new and new experiments and for a few families. The nation has bitter experience and there is no scope for politics for this new entrant in politics. Let him start politics from the Union Council as a Union Council Member so that he may know the problrms which the people of this country are facing..Gone are the days when people used to elect the Members of assemblies on the basis of their family background or the performance of their father or mother in the past.

Don't they realize that the young Pakistanis are tired of dynastic politics?? Another "prince" is being imposed upon us to rule over his majesty's subjects. Contrast this with Rahul Gandhi in India. He was 20 years old when Rajiv Gandhi was killed in 1991 but the Congress party was mature enough or rather he himself was sane enough not to jump into the pilot's seat. Rahul Gandhi entered politics in 2004 at the age of 34 and even then he was not pushed into a leading role in Indian politics and has been given other responsibilities and is being groomed over the last 8 years. It would be better for Bilawal and more so for the country if he makes his own way to the top gradually after spending some time in the country, among the country's masses, over whom his family thinks he is born to rule.

Under prevalent conditions it would be pragmatic to beef up the security around Bilawal. The mischief makers seem to have upper hand. They are able to penetrate, what would presumably be some of the most well guarded places in the country. . A well trained special detachment of snipers on strategic spots would keep their eyes on anything suspicious. A few helicopters can be commandeered to hover over the areas where folk would gather to catch a glimpse of the candidate. . . BSF, (Bilawal Security Forces) should comprise of Lyariites who have proven to be the most devoted loyalists of the family.
