PTI Election Commission Cell head Hamid Khan held a press briefing where he announced that the electronic voting will begin from midnight on November 17, and 63,000 party members will participate in the elections from 40 union councils in the federal capital.
The elections will be held on nine general seats and four women seats, and only those voters will be accepted who vote through a SIM registered on their National Identity Cards (NIC).
Election camps will also be set up at every union council, said Khan.
The elections will be completed in three phases across the country.
In the first phase, elections will be held in the Islamabad Capital Territory, followed by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in the second.
Elections in the other three provinces will be held in the third phase.

PTI has choosen the basic step of democracy & gone for election within the party. Every member has right to elect thier party Representative to run the party within party constituation or bylaws. If some difference arise then members got the right to remove the Elected Representative though voting system. All other parties are family party and controled by their family members & nothing to do with democracy. They buffing and cheating the proples of Pakistan using the name of democracy. I appeal to other non democratic party for God sake don;t play with sentiments of the innocent peoples.
This is basic grass root system of true democracy adopted by PTI to stengthen true democraric system. Other parties is not democratic party rather I should say family party. In family politcal system the peoples don't have right of accountability of their leaders.The system is controlled by remote controled by few nominated relatives not by the common peoples. I hope PTI adopted the right system and parry for its success.
Excellent!! This exercise will make PTI a true democratic party. Apart from party's benefit, people from lower, middle class can get benefit out of it. They have a chance to enter in to politics for change. Further this can also leverage democratic culture in the country.
This kind of election means PTI will survive long after IK. This will be an institution just like Namal, SKMCH where IK's presence is not needed anymore. Instead of criticising we should appreciate even if we disagree with PTI policies.
The burning issue is: Will IK boycott this election too?
Ultimate coup on status quo political parties, finally the workers of Pakistan will own their own party.
@adnan
Funny...first time I heard of an election where no one stands against you. I think you must have meant selection not election :)
So basically no one stood against nawaz Sharif and pmln use this as an example of a democratic intra party election? Lol
Man...pmln must have some really dumb and devoted mureeds who believe any old crap that mian sahib says. What's next..mian sahib didn't really sign a deal and run away to Jeddah?
@salman:
My man, I can care less as to who contested against SS and NS. What I do know is that both of them were elected to their respective offices by their Provisional and National General Councils. If no one decided to contest against them, that isn't anyone's fault. Besides, the Election Commission of Pakistan has already declared PML-N's intra-party election to be legit and the party has qualified for an election symbol while the CHANGE and Soo-Nami outfit hasn't.
That's my infantile observation of the day.
Even Chaudry sahib can't come up with his usual "witty" comment lol.
@Ch. Allah Daad:
I have a feeling that he would realize the futility of this mindless exercise just like filing a deliberately dud defamation law suit against Khawaja Asif in a session court even though a suit of more than 100 million rupees is only heard in a High Court. :D
@adnan.
Not sure yet....we will see which candidates throw their hat in the ring. However pmln elections have already happened right? So should be easy for you to tell us who stood against nawaz and shahbaz?
Or, as usual, are you going to answer with another question or infantile comment?
Elections, China-style ?!!
@salman:
Care to enlighten us as to who is contesting for the office of Chairman in PTI against IK? (That is if these elections will be ever held).
Thanks God Some one took initiative Road to democracy I am sure, whole Pakistan will be behind IK
Really? Pmln have had intra party elections...maybe someone can inform us of who stood against nawaz Sharif or shahbaz Sharif?
I hope Imran is not aware of these elections, otherwise he will boycott them too.
@afzaalkhan. Wrong.only shura choses the ameer e jamat.
Please be informed y'al, especially the Mureeds/Subjects of Deen-e-Ilzam - Election Commission has refused to allocate election symbols to PPP, PTI, PML-Q and JUI (F) on grounds of not conducting internal elections as yet. The only parties to have qualified hitherto are PML-N and JI......Food for thought, anyone?

@afzaalkhan: JI do not elect ppl at this level. only ameer is elected.
@Noor
No its not, e.g JI have free and fair elections and has been doing it longer then any other party.
Excellent... These should be completed as soon as possible... So that focus on general elections could be made...
VOTE FOR PTI...
Great Khan is doing it consistently for pakistani politics
welcome to real democracy... IK zindabad
This is a highly significant event, not only in the history of P.T.I as a political party but in due course will reflect immensely on Pakistan as a whole. This is the only political party in Pakistan that holds a reasonably progressive and civilized hegemony that can get the country out of its proliferating anguish.
Can they provide the Pakistani version of the magna carta?
Though tough but necessary. Holding intra party election during such conditions is not very easy to have to. InshAllah we will hold and let the other know that we are the first and only democratic party in Pakistan
No complacency allowed, Lets get the best candidiates and let the show begin. IK Zindabad
An initiative worth emulation for the two mainstream political parties.
Welcome to first democratic party
Finally !!!
