The next general elections are around the corner and the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to revamp its media wing in preparation – in this regard, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon was appointed Central Deputy Information Secretary of the party on Friday.
Meanwhile, Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira will continue to act as information secretary. Memon’s new post was placed on the official website of the ruling party.
Earlier, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, who recently joined the PPP, was given charge of acting deputy information secretary.
The media wing of the PPP now consists of Central Punjab Information Secretary Amir Khan, South Punjab Information Secretary Shaukat Mehmood Basra, Acting Sindh Information Secretary Waqar Mehdi, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Secretary Syed Ayub Shah and Balochistan Information Secretary Manan Gohar Tareen.
