LAHORE: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial on Friday postponed for November 30 the hearing of a petition against unscheduled loadshedding. Bandial deferred the hearing as the counsel for the Ministry of Water and Power sought time to file a detailed reply on power theft and the measures to control it. Justice Bandial said if the reply was not submitted till November 30, the water and power secretary would be summoned. Judicial Activism Panel Chairman Azhar Siddique has filed the petition. The petitioner has requested that the power supply authorities be directed to submit the loadshedding schedule for the common man and for the President’s House, the Prime Minister’s House, the Chief Ministers’ Houses and other high offices. He also requested that the NEPRA, WAPDA, PEPCO and LESCO be directed to submit details of electricity production sources.
