SSGC directive: Gas closure for industrial and captive power users

KARACHI:

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has asked all industrial and captive power users in Sindh to discontinue gas usage for 24 hours from 7 am Sunday, November 18, to 7 am Monday November 19, 2012.

“Weekly closure schedule will be strictly observed and the company will monitor all industrial and captive power users,” a press release issued on Friday by SSGC said.

To maintain smooth and uninterrupted gas supply to the industry during the entire upcoming week, SSGC will observe its schedule strictly for closure of gas supply on Sunday, November 18, 2012.

SSGC’s teams will monitor compliance with the schedule, and are fully authorised to disconnect gas supply for 48 hours of any customer found violating the schedule. Gas supply to disconnected customers will only be restored after the issuance of a no objection certificate from the concerned Industrial and trade association.
