Gala celebrations at National Press Club

KARACHI: National Press Club will hold the 'Jashn-e-Democracy 2nd Journalist family Gala celebration' at Convention Center today.

Management Committee NPC told APP that the Gala Festival islikely to attract hundreds of Journalist families from the twin cities and adjacent areas. The committee said this event will provide a home entertainment opportunity to the participating families.

The festival to be celebrated after one year it is a second Gala, which provide different fun items including shopping, foodstalls, Kids racing, Singing, Joking competitions, live music, magicshow and face painting. The Journalist Gala is held with the objective to entertain journalists with their families.

Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, Chairman Constitution Committee, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Syed Kazmi, Federal Minister for Youth Affairs Shahid Hussain Bhutto, Prime Minister AJK Raja Farooq Haider Khan, Pakistan Muslim League (N), Senator Syed Zafer Ali Shah and other members of parliament would be the guests in this event.

The Gala will be inaugurated by the President of PFUJ Pervaiz Shukat. Renowned journalists and anchor-persons who were banned in Musharaf era including Talat Hussain, Mushtaq Minhas, Hamid Mir,Nusrat Javed, Kashif Abbasi, Asma Sherazi, Asma Chaudhry, Haroon Rasheed, Nasir Zaeedi and Iqbal Jaferi will also attend the Gala celebrations.

Painting and racing competitions will also be organized among kids and they will also get prices and gifts. Renowned singers Ata Ullah Esa Khelwi, Rahim Shah, Shahida Mini, Malko, Rabi Pir Zada and other singers will participate in the celebration and will present their songs. Food Stalls would also set up to provide eatables on cheapprices
