Ashura days: Doctors threaten to boycott emergencies
The meeting demanded an apology from the provincial health minister for using derogatory words against doctors.
QUETTA:
Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Balochistan has threatened to boycott the emergency wards during the 9th and 10th of Muharram if the kidnapped Dr Saeed Khan was not recovered. The decision was taken in a meeting of the general body of the PMA chaired by President PMA Balochistan Sultan Tareen. The meeting condemned the failure of the government to provide security to the doctors. The meeting demanded an apology from the provincial health minister for using derogatory words against doctors adding that it was his tactic to absolve himself of his responsibilities. Dr Saeed Khan, a prominent eye specialist, was kidnapped on October 16 and is still missing.
