Vani: FIR against ex-nazim, jirga heads

DERA GHAZI KHAN: An FIR was registered against 10 people, including a former nazim and heads of the panchayat, for declaring three girls vani. The case was registered in Jhok Utra police station. Those nominated in the FIR include former nazim Hafiz Tariq Changwani and members of the panchayat Farooq Alyani and Abbas Changwani. DPO Mohammad Saleem is heading the inquiry team, which recorded the statement of the girls’ mother in Multan on Tuesday. Saleem ordered police to provide security to the girls’ mother, their brother and a witness.
