Enforced disappearance: PHC seeks reply against allegation

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has sought reply of the ministry of defence and officials of the Baloch Regiment along with station house officer Michni gate police station against allegations of detaining a Peshawar resident in illegal custody.

A petition was filed by Gul Haya, a resident of the provincial capital stating that her son-in-law Samiullah went missing on July 1, 2010 with two other people Janat Gul and Hassan Zeb from Hassan Garhi area of Peshawar. Zeb returned home after six days and Gul returned after eight months.
