Cricket: Murali eyes another battle with Warne

Spin maestro Muttiah Muralitharan insists fans have a cause to be excited by the looming duel between him and Shane Warne in next month’s Big Bash League, according to WAtoday. Muralitharan, who will represent Melbourne Renegades, is looking forward to clashing with Warne’s Melbourne Stars. ‘’For these competitions, you need a lot of good players,” said Muralitharan. “Then the public will come and watch because they don’t only want to see domestic players. They want to see the international stars also. Spectator-wise, it’s good and for the competition also, it’s healthy, because you can still see [champion] players even if they have retired from Test and one-day cricket. I’m quite looking forward to it.’’
