'I refused to accept illegitimate money'
Addressing a public gathering via phone, Hussain said that he should not be targeted in the NRO case since he never accepted illegitimate money offered to him by agencies. He stated that the men who attempted to give him money had appeared on news channels in Pakistan and had corroborated his claim.
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Imran Khan had earlier on Wednesday spoken of politicians who were accused of 'taking' millions of rupees from Pakistan, during a press conference in Islamabad.
Khan had expressed his dissatisfaction with powerful men in Pakistan committing crimes and getting away through NROs.
The PTI chief taking a swipe at politicians said that those who “have allegations against them of taking Rs3.5 million and those who have Rs5 billion in Switzerland yet say they will not tell” will not be able to save the country.

Individual acts and sporadic crimes over a course of almost 30 years of existence do not mean in any way that this party is an organized force of terrorism, which is what you folks want to propagate whether you are Urdu-speaker or not. News in recent years and High Court's observations have pointed out that the people who have been involved in extortion have been associated with many parties including JI, ANP, PPP, and MQM. So stop stereotyping MQM as extortionists. MQM has 25 seats in the National Assembly with millions of votes casted for them in very urbanized cities like Karachi and Hyderabad, not feudal and tribal areas such as Interior Sindh and South Punjab. The middle class in Karachi and Hyderabad would not be voting for them overwhelmingly if they were so criminal. 50,000 and in some cases over 100,000 votes, are not given in highly urbanized cities on the barrel of guns and to people who are notorious for extortion.
His former lieutinent, Afaq Ahmed, has confessed in a tv interview (News 1) that he had received Rs 5 million from Younis Habib and he is witness to Altaf Bhai's receiving 3 to 4 times more than him in 1990.

Accustation of Bhaata are old; come up with something new; every child, adult or elderly living in Karachi and Hyderabad; have witnessed and they know that those involved in Bhatta's and Target Killing belong to other Parties. It happened to my own uncle (who is an MQM worker); a person came to him caliming Bhatta and threated against his life and business; if defy'd. That extortionist, claiming to me an MQM worker, who could barely speak Urdu, least to say, being a apart of MQM, he could clearly identify, that indidvidual did not belong under MQM's party fold. Other political parties and Terrorist organization ploy propaganda against MQM; under its banner; and expect ill minded common people's to follow it. Altaf Hussain has never accepted Illegal money and niether have his supporter's. You can accuse all you want, but the TRUTH can't be hidden.

I have enough coming through snatched hides, extortion, street crime, kidnappings, robberies, etc, so I am extremely sorry, I can't accept any money offered to me. I have got a habbit of snatching things. How can I accept anything given to me by respectful means??
