KARACHI: It took two snorkels and six five tenders nearly an hour to douse the flames that broke out at the head office of Bank al-Falah on II Chundrigar Road on Monday. Fire brigade officials said that the fire broke out on the first floor of the building, and that they had not been able to determine its cause so far. They added that many people were stuck in the building due to the fire and smoke, and some of them had to escape by jumping through windows, but no one was seriously injured. The rest of the building’s occupants were safely evacuated, added officials.
