SINDH: On the instigation of a landlord, Badin police arrested and sent to jail a 12-year-old boy on charges of raping a middle-aged, married woman.
Muhammad Urs Khaskheli, a peasant of Goth Gul Muhammad Khasheli told journalists in Badin Press Club on Friday that landlords of their Goth had grabbed a large plot in the village and were constructing their poultry farms, flour mills and shops there.
He said the landlords had asked the villagers to leave the rest of Goth and on their refusal, had begun harassing them with the help of the police.
He said a fake case was lodged against 12-year-old Mujeeb* accusing him of raping a 45-years-old married woman belonging to the Kolhi tribe.
Despite a medical board report declaring that the boy was a minor, the police arrested and sent the child to jail.
Khaskheli appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court to take notice of the atrocities of local police and landlords in the area.

@Tauqeer You cant just blame Police... They are just like puppets... There are many in the society who do not allow them to work "Imaandaari se"... They have to choose between their life OR Regular Govt Income... Sad..

Qts I have is why SHC, PHC sleeping? If SC can take suomoto notice, why SHC sleeping on the job like Punjab courts. We all know the parties ruling sindh an't gonna do anything, the SHC can atleast take up cases like this and do something, even on Karachi law and order SC had to move.
People talking abt SC judicial activism should press for SHC and others to be more active, then if SC interferes the SHC can really tell SC to stay out as it 1st fall unders provinces, specially after 18th amendment
Thats how things work when you do not correct your law and order institutions. The Police officials responsible should be hanged publicly along with the land lord, if the grounds prove them guilty.
Technically its not impossible .
But the police arresting and jailing the boy all so suddenly is a totally different story .
