MIRANSHAH: A woman was killed and a man injured when mortar shells fired by coalition forces from across the border in Afghanistan landed on houses in the Datta Khel tehsil of North Waziristan Agency on Wednesday. A senior security official told The Express Tribune that coalition troops deployed in Afghanistan’s Paktia province fired mortars at Pakistani territory around 11:00am. He added that 19 of those shells landed on several houses in the Kunsar area, woman and injuring a man.
