Swiss letter written, sent via Foreign Office on November 5: Report
In September, after months of sparring, the executive and the judiciary deadlock saw a breakthrough when Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf agreed to write the letter, and assigned the task to Law Minister Farooq H Naek.
After weeks of delay and corrections, the country’s top court had approved the Swiss letter draft submitted on October 10.
On the appeal of Law Minister Farooq H Naek, the federation was given till November 10 to send the letter to Swiss authorities.
Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf had directed Naek to dispatch the letter, indicating further progress since the Supreme Court gave the government draft of the letter a final nod.
Attorney General of Pakistan Irfan Qadir, however, had said one day earlier that he had not yet received any directions to write the letter to Swiss authorities.

This government got what it wanted by prolonging this case. They're at the end of their 5 year tenure. Tons of money and loot to enjoy for their future generations.
What has happened in this delayed justice (if you can considered it served at this point), shows exactly whats wrong with our system. First this government was elected with 30% overall bogus votes (that's enough to help win even a losing party), Then the president was elected by a majority of the guys who got elected by bogus votes. This is a chain reaction of corruption, filth and lies.
I wonder what the Quaid would feel if he saw the state of his country that these savages have brought it to.
@Jibran: Let me explain for you- One of the constitution article lays conditions for the public office holders including president...They should be of good reputation... etc etc. The pursuance of the SC against the president for graft charges is a great proof & he does not deserve this position. This makes pakistan laughing stock in the whole world. He must step down immediately as this is causing a bad name for the country. The apex court pushing for letters and he wants hanging with democracy. This is a very serious issue for law makers, courts and armed forces also. This must be taken seriously. I hope the chilish coments are explained now?

I'm wondering how the courts ensured what precisely was sent - i.e. what stops anyone from flipping around the content in transit?

now the Attorney General will that sending the letter through Foreign Office will have no legal effect and should have been sent through him......so the drama will continue !!!
Big deal. The attention of the obstinate court should be focused on pending cases of ordinary citizens, instead of wasting precious time on writing of a meaningless letter.
Why didn't they send it through a special messenger, Mr Gorgage, the Postal Minister ?
