Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, refused to appear before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the Hajj corruption case, Express News reported on Tuesday.
FIA investigators on Monday had issued summons for Qadir Gilani, his friend Zain Sukhera and others to get their statements recorded in relation to the corruption case.
But Qadir Gilani wrote a letter to FIA investigators requesting for more time so he can come to Islamabad from Multan.
According to an FIA official, statements of Qadir Gilani and Sukhera will be reviewed again in the Hajj corruption case to close investigations.
The investigators want a clearer picture after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA from Sahiwal, Pirzada Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, retraced his statement accusing Qadir Gilani of obtaining bribes from a Hajj official.

Bookie* Instead of hanging his and his father's entire property should be confiscated which has been made through corruption and both along with other corrupt people should be punished for life time to give them examplary punishment.

He should be arrested immediately and should not be granted bail till the decision of the case. He is making mockery of law. It also shows that he has no respect for the law of the land like his father. He is taking undue advantage of PPP government who is protecting him unduly. All plundered money including that of afdrin case which amounts to billions of rupees , should be recovered from him forthwith and deposited in the national ecxhequer. All his and his father's property should be confiscated by theSC immediately. This is the only way to deal with the corrupt people if Pakistan is to be cleared from corruption.

Its been the approach of Right wing hatred mongers to keep on making wild accusations, hoping something may stick. Old saying goes "Jhhoot key per nahin hotay".
Why should he appear. Like father like son. After all he is MNA? Dishonesty thy name is PPP. Whether you embezzle money from mosque, shrine or Haj.. makes no difference so long as you are a PPP stalwart.

Well as always politicians and there relatives enjoying a i don't give a #*!$ attitude. When will the people of Pakistan wake up and take controll . To these types of ppl it is like water off a ducks back....if Pakistan was serious about taking on curroption then i doubt if there would be enough room in the prisions...the elections are comming there is the time to make change..but as is prevelant in pk culture a few rupees will pay for many a vote.....
How exactly someone's "inability" to present him/herself, expressed via a letter, in-front of commission tantamount to "refusal" ?
