Cleanup operation: 18 shops demolished

"The owners of these shops would be accommodated in other areas", says DCO.

MULTAN:

The district administration on Sunday demolished 18 shops along the road near the Clock Tower Chowk and Qilla Kohna, Qasim Bagh, recovering four-kanal government land from encroachers.

In an operation started by District Coordination Officer Nasim Sadiq, the owners of these shops were issued notices 24 hours prior to the operation. The DCO said that the owners of these shops would be accommodated in other areas. He said the operation was part of the Qasim Bagh beautification project.
