PESHAWAR: A Peshawar court on Saturday sent a man accused of posing as a colonel of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) on a 14-day judicial remand. During the case hearing on Saturday, Amir Murad, a resident of Rawalpindi denied all charges levelled against him and termed the accusations “a plot” against him. Murad was allegedly picked up by intelligence agencies a week back after he tried to acquire a 10 canal commercial government plot on lease for 99 years while posing as a colonel of the ISI. He was later handed over to the police, who produced him before the court of Judicial Magistrate Zafrullah Mohmand on November 1. The judge sent him on a two-day physical remand. Murad, who previously served on senior posts in renowned organisations, has also been accused of holding fake MBA and PhD degrees.
