Communal fighting: Landlord killed over water dispute

SHAHDADPUR: A 45-year-old landlord named Muharam Rind was killed in firing between Rind and Ridd tribes over a dispute on irrigation water near Shahdadpur on Saturday. Six people have died and thousands of acres have become barren because of the dispute which has been going on for more than three years now. DSP Juma Khan Panhwar arrived with a police contingent to patrol the area and prevent further fighting.
