Ied explosion: Van hit by blast, one injured

HANGU: Arif was critically injured when his van was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) on the outskirts of Hangu on Friday. DPO Hangu Dr Mian Saeed Khan told The Express Tribune that the incident took place in the Feroz Ghundai area of Sarakdana, in front of an Afghan refugee camp. A member of the bomb disposal squad estimated that 10 kilogrammes of explosives were used in the bomb which was planted on the roadside. The vehicle was completely destroyed. On October 5, a suicide bomber killed one person and injured two in Sarakdana. He was reportedly targeting a renegade Taliban commander.
