QUETTA: The party membership of Chief Minister Balochistan Aslam Raisani was suspended for continually violating party policies, DawnNews reported on Thursday.

The Kalat division of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) took the decision. Division President Rafeeq Sajjad said that Raisani had been violating policies since the last four years.

According to the division president, the chief minister was not addressing issues faced by the party workers who had voted him into power nor was he spending enough time in Quetta.

He also said that the PPP had weakened in the province due to Raisani’s actions and policies.

Earlier, PPP provincial president Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani had called upon the federal government to declare the provincial government headed by Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani a failure.

He said that a new governmental structure needs to be formed in the province.

Various political and administrative options are being discussed in the wake of a damning Supreme Court judgment that held that the Balochistan government had failed in its fundamental responsibility of protecting the basic rights of the people.

This looks the end game planned by Zardari and he found a scape goat for His failed policies in Balochistan.

An obvious pre-Election gimmick to pass of the sins of Zardari's nonsensical approach on Balochistan onto the shoulders of the man he personally chose to head the provincial government.
