QUETTA:

The Pakistan Medical Association’s (PMA) Balochistan chapter has decided to call an all-parties conference and tender their collective resignations against the non-recovery of eye specialist Dr Saeed Khan.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the chapter on Tuesday with Dr Sultan Tareen, president of PMA Balochistan, in chair.

PMA members unanimously agreed to continue their strike and agreed to call an all-parties conference to address the issue. The PMA spokesperson said a Balochistan chapter general body meeting would be called on November 1 where collective resignations would be considered.

Dr Khan was abducted from Quetta two weeks ago and is still missing. PMA Balochistan’s strike in state-run hospitals against his abduction continues.
