The rally, which roped in around 45,000 PTI supporters, caused a stir in the political scene and all rallies which followed later started concentrating on attracting large number of participants.

@saima siddiqi: That was funny!
I rememebr that day, my husband, after he stopped crying, kicked our TV cause he was so frustrated....and had to go buy a new one the next day. So thank you IK for our new TV! :)
Ahhhhhh.....those were the days when Shuja Pasha was at the beck and call of yet another agencies propped up phony NGO type politician whose greatest political achievement in life was a solitary seat in parliament.
@rizwan
Well, my kids are too young to vote. I will vote for PTI, but I hope my husband doesn't find out. He's looks pathetic when he starts crying.
@saima siddiqi:
and i am sure you and your kids will vote for PTI
All I know is that day my husband who is a big PMLN fan was very upset and almost in tears. He never thought that anyone could challenge PMLN especially in Lahore. Even to this day he is worried about PTI knocking PMLN out of punjab.
We all know collecting a crowd in a country where people have no activity is no big deal, we have seen bigger crowds than this for parties which dont win a single seat in general elections,if PTI thinks they have crowd support stop bycotting elections.
i thought we were may be going to have a change but one year gone and now i call PTI as APPTI i.e All parties pakista tehreek.e.insaaf....people from other parties getting into it....
Actually that show was fully sponsored by Malik Riaz(Behria Town) and directed By Ahmad Shuja Pasha.
One of the best days I had in life. I was not there but I could feel the fire in my stomach that we are back on our feet. I care less if IK wins / loses, but what does matter is that he did breathe life into youngsters of a nation that had almost given up.
It was like another Pakistan day when a hope generated of "New Pakistan"
@Mard-e-Haq @Wadi Saeen
How many times did your leaders distribute free laptops to the youth before the 'arrival' of the PTI? The nation is going to elect PTI for a change, you start speaking truth for a change. Wake up my friends, the sun is all over your heads!!!!!
Guys, all estimates of how many people were there will have to wait until Prevaiz Rashid finishes his official count of chairs :)
Wow. Even the Quaid-e-Azam could not muster a crowd like Imran Khan, going by the messianic praise heaped by PTI devotees here.
It does not matter how many people where then, what matter are how many are with PTI NOW. After a series of confusing statements, wrong policy directions most of the important people in PTI have started leaving and this also includes the grass root folks and potential electorate for PTI.
Yeah and now he has become the root of all evil thanks to some sprinkling of money.
45000??? what do you mean??? there were more than 200,000 people
Thanks God I was not part of that concert. After one year the Tsunami has been contained. The Khan rocket could not leave launching pad. The PML(N) never lost a single vote, instead its popularity has increased. PTI has come down from expected ten seats to four seats.
someone please tell these idiots that a tsunami is NOT a good thng
Will remember that day for a long time. Though I did not attend it myself, but having followed PTI for some time before that day, it seemed "unreal".
PLease E.T, dont do this, i really like you E.T, but please dont be bias, everyone in Pakistan Knows, it was wayyyy more than 45000. So please E.T you are on your way of becoming a very established newspaper with a very massive following. These kind of swings might put a major dent in your reputation.
It was a historic moment. I was there. However, everything PTI has done subsequently has been a major disappointment. Imran Khan had the historic opportunity to use his personal charisma to galvanise the youth into a progressive lot aligned with 21st century ideals. Instead he is leading them into wilderness.
@ET missed one '0' from 45000 supporters. ET surely is hilarious!!
45000 i think u forget one zero
The Day, I spent following the Jalsa in Germany, just a night before my PhD Defense. Long live IK. You are our hope for change.
30th october 2011 was the best day of my life
45,000 ????? are you kidding that jalsa was one of the biggest jalsa in lahore ever. That jalsa rocked pakistan politics
