PHC issues notice to Musharraf for allowing drone campaign
The CIA-operated drone campaign began in the former president's government.
The drone attacks in northwest Pakistan, where militants linked to Taliban and al Qaeda have strongholds, have killed thousands of people since they began in June 2004, according to the report by experts from Stanford Law School and the New York University School of Law.
Aside from casualties, the “Living Under Drones” report said, the missile strikes are affecting daily life in the tribal areas, making people unwilling to gather in groups – even for weddings and funerals – for fear of being targeted.
Despite Islamabad’s repeated protests, the Obama Administration is not willing to halt the CIA drone campaign in the tribal areas — notwithstanding Islamabad’s offer of a new mechanism suggesting use of drones only for surveillance.

This is a Norah Kushti. everyone knows that Drones are blessing for Pakistan. They get edge in the battlefield. If some civilians are killed. because criminals are using civilians as shield. Pakistani informers give the location and target which must be approved by Pakistani authorities before drone strike. past government and present government are doing a good job.. Just do not blame only USA. Pakistan has no REIT in this area. USA is doing a good job. Only way to get rid of drones is to wipe out the TTP ,Haqanies and criminals, there will be no drones.
The notice should be issued to the institution which he represented and the one which has a responsibity to protect us both from these drones and also the terrorist which are killing us and have taken us hostage.

The intended role of drone flights was stated to be surveillance only. Musharraf has also repeated the same. No party protested. According to Musharraf using the drone flights for bombing is a violation of the understanding/pact that was committed to then. . In case Musharraf decides to participate in coming elections, he would stand a pretty good chance of gathering a sizable number of votes. . This is a preemptive strike.

I wounder if PHC will issue notice to Zia for allowing Taliban to use Pakistani land for their recruitments and training.
The treatment meted out to Gen Musharraf is pathetic, no wonder Pakistan never respected their Heroes.
What's wrong with drones as long as they are doing the job of what our army wants to do? Same notice should be sent to the GHQ.
Why the proactive Apex Court of Pakistan has not so far taken Suo Moto notice on drone attacks and issued notices to Federal govt and military for not able to stop and shooting down drones respectively ?
A notice should be issued the present government also for allowing drone attacks.
