ISLAMABAD: The Shalimar police booked a man on charges of fraud on Monday. According to the police, Muhammad Najibullah lodged a complaint, alleging that he had paid Rs2.3 million to Abdul Rehman in exchange for a plot. Rehman, however, refused to hand over the plot to him. Later, he gave two cheques for Rs760,000 and Rs850,000 to Najib to pay back the amount in the presence of a jirga. The cheques, however, were dishonoured by the bank upon encashment.
