Former Vital Signs member Junaid Jamshed was also present at the occasion.
The celebrities also spoke with Maulana Tariq Jamil, who enlightened them on the virtues of Hajj.
Aamir Khan had left for Hajj with his mother, while Afridi left for Saudi Arabia Sunday evening after playing the match between Pakistan All Star XI and International World XI.

@Peter Irudayaraj: Change your feathers. @Fraz: You can also enjoy his company. @Rana: Maulana's speeches are always enlightening. Regards.
@Raj - USA: world needs people like you and you will see peace flourishing eventually..thank you brother.!!
@Phew: Good things should be encouraged.
@Raj - USA:
Thanx.
I had thanked you on my behalf and also on behalf of millions of fellow Pakistanis.
Likewise you have not just wished two people on a forum , you have wished an entire nation.
Peace & love....
Mashallah
@Khurram Awan: People like you can easily be misguided. You are one of them who know nothing but live on others bones. You might have heard about Moulana Tariq Jamil from any extremist as extremists dislike him because his message is the Message of Islam that is PEACE. He presents Authentic Hadith. I am scared if you watch Sacrilegious Movies, You might change your mind about Islam as you do not have personal observations. This is what PTA has banned Youtube because you guys do not have mind to differentiate with your senses 'What is wrong what is Right'. Respect Scholars and always present Proofs. Saudi Scholars might have said, but who they are? which sect they belong to? (Sects are reality :-( ) Explain it. Do not mind it buddy. Be positive.
This is good news that our brothers has gone to mecca to perform the annual pilgrimage, but salute to the Bosnian Muslim man 47-year-old reached Saudi Arabia this week to perform the annual pilgrimage after traveling nearly 5,900 km on foot from his Bosnian village.
Birds of the same feather flock together
@Abbas: Judging by his social work, Amir Khan is much more righteous than most Muslims will ever be.
@Asif Butt: @Midhat: I thank you both for your nice replies and take this opportunity to wish you both "Eid Mubarak" in advance.
@deep: and I hope and pray Aamir does have that born again moment.its better for him and every Muslim to surrender our will to the Lord whom we claim to believe and follow.its better to please him rather than pleasing the public at the expense of betraying him.Hajj is great and most spiritual journey.If your a Muslim than you should Pray to be on path of righteous and beloved of Allah.only that will help all of us attain salvation rather than glitz and glamour of bollywood.
@Bookie: Mashah Allah hope allah givesyou a nice time
@Khurram Awan: I listened to Maulana Tariq Jameel's lecture on 'Jannat Ke Nazare' (Visions of Paradise) being played over a tape recorder in D-7 bus. And I was astonished that he has such a huge following and is his words are taken seriously.
The awkward moment when indian and Pakistanis start posting polite comments towards each other :P
@Raj - USA: Thank you Raj , for making a wonderful observation about Hajj . And thank you for understanding the values of Muslims.
The world wants to defame Islam , whereas its only some Muslims who deserve to be defamed ( and not considered Muslims).
God bless you.
@Bookie: aameen
@Vishnu Dutta
Have you noticed the kind of responses you invited by your comment, specially from @Midhat and @Green Oval. Don't they appear to be more educated,cultured and civilised than you (judging by your comments).
Don't bring shame and embarrassment to yourself and Indians like me.
@Vishnu Dutta: "Afridi who" He is someone who referred the minorities like you " people with small hearts". You probably don't know who Sachin Tendulkar is, its ok, we understand, it's not your fault.
@Atif .. Just ask your family members or friends if you dont know who Amir Khan is ....
Aamir please give Afridi some Lagaan cricket tips.
Aamir pleasegive Afridi some Lagaan cricket tips.
I am unable to understand why there is so much advertisement going on if both of these have gone for Hajj?
@Raj - USA: Hajj is a very spiritual and humbling experiene. Living in two piece cloth, a wordly VIP man prays along side a commoner, bows his head on the same dirth and reminds himself that his worldly status is unworthy if his deeds arent. One of my teachers, when returned from Hajj, was a changed man alltogether;very Humble and concious of his behaviour. But again of us are unforrtunate in a sense that we miss the true spirit of Hajj. Its more than a ritual, its a learning expereince all together..
Masha Allah, may Allah accept you! =)
so?
@Bookie: Based on your argument Since Hajj costs money so this means all poor are out of reach from chosen one from Allah. This implies Rich are chosen Ones while Islam is not for the Poor at all. My neighbors who are all time corrupt do Hajj on an yearly basis while my another neighbor who is a father of three girls is a government teacher and he will never Afford the Hajj in his life time. So what this means.?? that Corrupt Custom officer is a Chosen one while that teacher is the cursed one because of Poverty???? So does this suggest Islam is only for the Rich and anyone coming back from Hajj however how much corrupt he or she will be called a Haji Sahib or Haji Sahiba and then we will start calling them chosen ones that would lead to natural bias of Character assessment only based on Hajj.?
Islam dont allow boasting to talk about prayers like that.It is a public matter of Personal matter. I have Christian and many friends from other faiths and they never boast about any of their prayers in public and they make it a Personal matter. Just imagine if the same stuff will be going on in Hazrat Muhammad's time then this coverage of Celebrity Hajj will be like that or not. Also Maulana Tariq's Jameel Islam is something else and i listened to him once and believe me His Islam is a new Islam that is did not existed 1400 years ago and that only exists in India and in Pakistan and even he has Hadees Books that even Saudi Ulema dont know from where from they were invented in the first place. So before calling Maulana Tariq Jameel a Scholar kindly study what is going on with his Teachings.
@Vishnu Dutta: Afridi who?*
Don't hate, its unattractive :)
@Vishnu Dutta: Correct, we muslims have big hearts!
Some persons who had been on Haj Pilgrimage 40 years ago have told me that there are some requirements to take up this once in a lifetime pilgrimage. They observe strict rules for 40 days (not sure, could be 30 days) prior to taking up the pilgrimage. Before going on the pilgrimage, they pay off all their debts and also write their Will to distribute their property. Also, they believe that a person should not take up Haj Pilgrimage more than once in their lifetime as they believe that they should give others also a chance to go on the Haj Pilgrimage. When they come back from Haj Pilgrimage, I have seen that they are totally different persons. They become very humble and good in all walks of life and never get angry for anything. You will know a Haji when you talk to them.
MASHALLAH !
@deep please elaborate on your definition of "balance" for Aamir Khan.
This snap looks photoshoped :)....
@Yasir: I think nobody would be going for Hajj following the film stars.. It is surely Allah's call to them (the lucky ones) at His home... It is a huge blessing so everyone is and will go to seek Allah's pleasure not following stars since they themselves are just normal human beings like us. Anyway.. It is really good to see both Afridi and Amir Khan at this huge occassion together! May Allah also shower His bounties and call us for Hajj and Umrah every year. Ameen!
@Vishnu Dutta
Amir who?
MULANA TARIQ JAMEEL ,may be Junaid Jamshed can enjoy his company . Not Aamir and Afridi
When is Aamir's new movie, Talaash, coming out?
and this is news?
Who is/are the person/s who instead of performing Hajj, following the film star ... :-D
Turning religious rituals into media PR.
@Farigh: Afridi who?
Why is it that when we meet we the best of friends but on the blogs and forums we are each othe's throats. I just cannot fathom that.....can't Indian and Pakistanis be friends on forums as well? I am sure we can.....must try harder.......
Media, Please spare them during Hajj.
MASHALLAH may ALLAH grant this opportunity too
Is this Afridi's fanboy moment, or Amir Khan's?
Mashallah both are looking great.
I hope this proves to afridi that we have big hearts too.
Allah calls some of His closest people for Hajj. May Allah also give us this privilege. Labaik Allah Huma Labaik
