FAISALABAD: Three sisters, who had requested the chief justice of Pakistan to take action against their parents who were allegedly pressing them for prostitution, were sent to a shelter home on Wednesday.

Taking action on the CJP’s directives, a district and sessions’ judge in Faisalabad, Tahir Pervaiz, summoned the girls in the court. The girls – Tayyaba, Iqra and Fouzia – accompanied by their brothers – Abuzar aand Umar Farooq – told the judge that their parents had been pushing them into prostitution.

They said that Tayyaba had been divorced due to their parents’ bad reputation. “They have made it very difficult for us,” the girls told the judge. They said that there was a threat to their lives and requested the judge to provide them with shelter. On this, the judge sent the girls to the shelter home and the two boys to the Child Protection Bureau. These children were residents of Mughalpura Mohalla, Jamilabad. The girls had written a letter to CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudary and had requested him to take action against their parents on which the CJP had appointed AD&SJ Tahir Pervaiz to inquire the matter.
