Development Works: ‘Govt giving attention to backward areas’

Rs600 million were being spent on building the Wildlife Park.

Bahawalpur Commissioner Muhammad Khan Khichi visited Bahawalnagar on Saturday.


Khichi inspected the Hyder Stadium, Wildlife Park, General Bus Stand, Solid Waste Management System (SWMS) and Bahawalnagar-Arifwala road.

Bahawalnagar District Coordination Officer Asim Iqbal said the Bahawalnagar-Arifwala road would cost more than Rs580 million.

He said the Rs 800 million Solid Waste Management System project would improve cleanliness. Khichi ordered plantation of trees at the bus stand.

He said Rs600 million were being spent on building the Wildlife Park.

Iqbal told Khichi that the district government had provided a subsidy of Rs609.8 million for the Green Tractors Scheme.
