Targeted?: Bohra man shot dead near Hyderi
Victim identified as Ali Asghar. Police yet to ascertain motive behind the killing.
KARACHI:
A young man, belonging to the Dawoodi Bohra community, was gunned down near Hyderi on Saturday evening.
The victim, identified as Ali Asghar, aged 40, son of Murtaza Ali, was shot in the head and died on the spot.
Asghar’s body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
Talking to The Express Tribune, Superintendent of Police (SP) North Nazimabad division Latif Siddiqui said that the deceased was travelling in his car when two armed men on a motorcycle shot and killed him, near his home.
Siddiqui added that the motive behind the killing was yet to be ascertained.
