New championship leader Sebastian Vettel is determined to win his fourth consecutive race with a victory in the upcoming Indian Grand Prix, according to ESPN.

The Red Bull driver, who currently leads Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso by six points, is set to repeat his last year’s performance at the Buddh International Circuit in India where he won the track’s inaugural race, edging past McLaren’s Jenson Button.

“I loved the track layout last year, but not just because I won the race,” said Vettel. “With an average speed of 235 kmph, the course is the second quickest of the year after Monza. There is a lot of elevation change around the lap, which adds to the fun, from as much as 8% downhill and up to 10% uphill; it’s like a rollercoaster. It really has emerged as one of the most challenging circuits on the calendar for the drivers.”

Fresh from his third back-to-back win at the recently concluded Korean Grand Prix, the 25-year-old German is eager to maintain his position at the top by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher is set to compete in his last Indian Grand Prix before retiring at the end of the current season. The 43-year-old Mercedes driver is looking forward to putting up a decent show in India.

“The Formula 1 debut of India last year was certainly a success,” said Schumacher. “There were a surprising amount of fans during the weekend, and the track itself really is cool. We drivers were given a very enthusiastic reception, and it will be interesting to see if this enthusiasm has remained as strong.”

Schumacher has had a disappointing season so far, finishing 13th in his last venture at the Korean Grand Prix. However, he appears resolved to step up his efforts for helping his team achieve a respectable win.

“After two races which have not been totally satisfying, we naturally wish for a more positive trend to come, and I can say that everybody in the team has put in a lot of effort to achieve it. Let’s see what we can make out of it.”

I hope Pakistan can hold the Pakistan Grand Prix in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or China. Would be nice, wouldn't it?
