Razzaq was dropped from the national team after a 17-ball 22 against Australia to make way for Sohail Tanvir in the playing-XI.
Razzaq, dejected at being dropped from the World Twenty20 semi-final loss, had blamed Hafeez for his exclusion, adding that the captain took an independent decision and ruled over the team management which was in favour of playing him.
Speaking to the media after the PCB announcement, Razzaq admitted that it was his mistake and he should never have given the statements.
Hafeez, who accompanied Razzaq at the press conference, said that Razzaq was his senior and like an elder brother and he had always supported him.
“I am extremely happy with PCB’s decision to move forward,” Hafeez said while reiterating that it was not his personal decision to exclude Razzaq from the team.
Reacting to the all-rounder’s outburst, which is believed to be a serious offence of the code of conduct, the PCB had issued a show-cause earlier this month. While Razzaq is not a PCB-contracted player, he was a signatory to the code of conduct for the World Twenty20.
Following the Razzaq saga, the PCB has also issued reminders to all its contracted players to avoid media statements without permission.

So now, who is Hafeez going to drop in all important games, doesn't need to look any further.
Afridi was fined 40-50 lakh for voicing his opinion on coach (Waqar Yunus) to not interfere too much.
Razzaq fined only 1 lakh for criticizing the captain's selection and strategy. This one is a much bigger offense !
@ Omar- Razzaq had signed the Central Contract last year which is valid for one year after its issuance so his obligations were still in effect. Anyway all is well that ends well and luckiliy no one had to satisfy their appetiite as you suggested ! Make love not War.
Pakistan's World T20 participation had ended and so had Razzaq's obligation to that "Code of Conduct". At this point i'd tell the PCB to eat something rather unpleasant for most, and something they seem to enjoy eating. If i were Razzaq of course.
Treated on merit, which we definitely need as nation. (From a big fan of A.Razzaq)
Good decision by PCB. They should also fined Hafeez for blaming that management is responsible for dropping Razzak in semi final.
