Sheesha crackdown: 2 cafes sealed for violating ban

The EPD on Thursday also handed out fines totaling Rs13,500 to owners of unfit vehicles.

LAHORE: Environment Protection Department officials on Thursday sealed two cafes for serving sheesha to customers in violation of a ban on smoking in public. EPD officials said that they had seized hookahs and tobacco from the two cafes in Iqbal Town. The EPD on Thursday also handed out fines totaling Rs13,500 to owners of unfit vehicles. EPD officials said that they had checked 76 buses, rickshaws, cars and motorcycles.
