Cricket: Sixers through to CLT20 semis
Sydney Sixers registered their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League Twenty20 with a comfortable win over Highveld Lions yesterday. Chasing a target of 148, Sixers easily accomplished the task with five wickets remaining.
Mitchell Starc was the man of the match after recording figures of three for 19. “Ball’s coming out of the hand nicely,” said Starc. “It’s also good to bowl on these wickets that offer pace and bounce.”
Sixers captain Brad Haddin was delighted with the team’s performance. “We didn’t start well but we fought back and were happy with the total we got to chase,” said Haddin.
