Slapping polling staff: Waheeda Shah says she was not served justice
Waheeda Shah, who was caught on camera physically assaulting a polling station staffer during PS 53 by-polls told the media at the Karachi Press Club on Wednesday that she has not been served justice despite the passing of one year.
Shah claimed that she was denied justice because of her association with PPP and Sindh. “Despite securing 40,000 votes, I was barred from becoming a part of the Sindh assembly,” Shah said, “this was conspired by leveling a false allegation of slapping polling staff.”
Shah claimed that media has depicted a false picture of the event, making it appear as if she had slapped someone fifty times. “This is far from the truth because I did not hit anybody.”
While referring to the alleged involvement of CM Punjab's daughter in the thrashing of an employee of a bakery in Defence Housing Authority on October 7, she said that lack of action taken on the incident reveals the inherent dichotomy for those who belong to Punjab and Sindh.
Shah said that the woman whom she had allegedly slapped should have been summoned in the court, but that didn’t happen, leaving serious doubts on the system of justice.

After all the efforts she went through to get elected, to be stymied at last moment from a sure shot seat, she has right to feel the injustice. And I agree that a great injustice has been done. Waheeda Shah should have been given about 10 hard slaps and I mean "kas kay" as well as the disqualification.
This woman should be banned for life for lying publicly. She is not fit for legislative assembly but most of the others currently elected for NA and PA. They lied as well no degress, dual nationality. I think lying to achieve has become part of our culture.
