Police raid: One wounded, three held
An alleged drug trafficker shot at a police party that entered his house for the arrest of two absconders.
ABBOTABAD:
An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) was injured when an alleged drug trafficker shot at a police party that entered his house for the arrest of two absconders on Tuesday. Nawanshehr Police said that Imran and his brother Zahid of Khalilzai Mohalla were wanted in a criminal case for the last several months for selling drugs in the area. On a tip-off, a police party headed by ASI Ishtiaq Shah raided their house but the accused opened fire at them and injured the ASI. However, the police surrounded the house and arrested Zahid, his two sisters Azra and Sumaira and recovered hashish from their possession. The injured ASI was taken to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad where his condition is stated to be out of danger.
