LAHORE: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) kicked off its Eidul Azha awareness campaign on Tuesday with a lecture and presentation at Aitchison College. More than 800 students from grades VI, VII and VIII attended the event held at Shamim Auditorium.  The students were shown animation and documentaries on Eid and Our Responsibilities with regards to Cleanliness. Ms Christina Patras and Asad Rabbani briefed the students about the special arrangements made by the company to keep the city clean on Eidul Azha. They said the company would distribute free-of-charge waste bags specially designed for the collecting animal waste, deploy extra crew and set up emergency camps in all union councils to address complaints on Eid. Muhammad Tahir, Aitchison’s Junior branch principal, urged people not to dispose of animal waste carelessly. He asked students to encourage their families to benefit from the LWMC’s upgraded system to maintain cleanliness on Eidul Azha. The principal thanked the company for conducting such activities.
