Taliban says its attack on Malala justified
Malala Yousafzai, 14, was flown to Britain on Monday, where doctors said she has every chance of making a "good recovery".
The attack on Malala, who had been advocating education for girls, drew widespread condemnation.
Authorities have said they have made several arrests in connection with the case but have given no details.
Pakistan's Taliban described Yousufzai as a "spy of the West".
"For this espionage, infidels gave her awards and rewards. And Islam orders killing of those who are spying for enemies," the group said in a statement.
"She used to propagate against mujahideen (holy warriors) to defame (the) Taliban. The Holy Quran says that people propagating against Islam and Islamic forces would be killed.
"We targeted her because she would speak against the Taliban while sitting with shameless strangers and idealized the biggest enemy of Islam, Barack Obama."
Yousufzai, a cheerful schoolgirl who had wanted to become a doctor before agreeing to her father's wishes that she strive to be a politician, has become a potent symbol of resistance against the Taliban's efforts to deprive girls of an education.
"We did not attack her for raising voice for education. We targeted her for opposing mujahideen and their war," said the Taliban.
"Shariah (Islamic law) says that even a child can be killed if he is propagating against Islam."

Every person who kills INNOCENT PEOPLE, whether he is in "UNIFORM" or "WITHOUT UNIFORM" for me they are terrorists. Malala was used by her father to get fame and money. At age of 11, innocent girl can't differentiate what is secularism and what is sharia law, she said what she was taught by his father, and further more, NGOs jumped in to earn money on her name. Malala was used by NGOs again and again, MAlalas father, who runs a school, his school started getting famous and USA was funding them to promote SECULARISM. She was used again and again, and now repent for what happened. The world watches with "HORROR" as Pakistanis & their elected officials still idle as one of the daughters of Pakistan had an assassination attempt. on her life. The Pakistani Embassy in Washington and its affiliates in other states is silent and has not used any statement on the air-waves to condemn this senseless act. Americans are surprised at the lack of focus that is coming out of Pakistan and as one reporter on CNN questioned:....."is this a turning point for Pakistan? will its people stand in unity to demand that action against the Taliban. The surprising answer from the reporter was: Pakistanis are not ready to commit to this brave action at this time. They would rather spend their energy blaming each other so any action against the Taliban is not in the horizon.
Count ourselves lucky. The more they talk, the more we know who they are and what they stand for, the more we can muster the courage to fight them.

Our people look so easy to be influenced as can be seen by all of the comments here. Its true that a child should not be harmed according to Islam, as it is immature physically and mentally and it was wrong to do such a thing as is done by whosoever with this child. But why are we one sided? Why do not all of the champions of humanity here speak as vociferously against the atrocities and barbarism being committed by the foreign forces in this region? Why everyone is blind to those facts? The irony is this: a young girl attacked by a people for spying dor an enemy who founded and funded by the same enemy. And to top it all, that girl was given treatment by an army's hospital which considers those attackers strategic assets and then helped out of pakistan to UK by another ardent supporter of these assets. The TTP did not anticipate the widespread condemnation in Pakistan by so many ordinary people, who raised their voices saying enough is enough. Malala may be symbolic for being the tipping point for many Pakistanis who used to believe in silence and patience. This incident has exposed many aspects:

Child are exempt from punishment under Islamic Sharia. Even offering of prayers and other Islamic rituals like fasting, zakat, pilgrimage, and even jihad are not obligatory on children. Only those people are obliged to worship, who have attained the age of competency regarding which Islamic Scholars differ that what that age should be. So I do not understand under what injunction of Sharia or Islamic Criminal Law, the TTP decided that killing of Malala was in accordance with Sharia. In my humble opinion, the TTP has totally acted in contravention of Islamic Sharia in this regard.
I wish, Pakistan army takes concrete steps to eliminate this cancer (TTP) from my beloved motherland. I’m so sick & tired of these animals (Talibans) who claims to be imposing shariah law but ends up doing everything opposite to the teachings of Qur’an.
