Terror alert across Pakistan
Local factions of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have planned on attacking various targets in the country, the National Crisis Management Cell (NCMC) of the Interior ministry warned.
The information revealed that around 15 terrorists have entered Pakistan with the intent to attack Pakistan Ordinance Factory (POF), security check posts, government schools, colleges and sensitive installations.
This group of terrorists is reportedly led by an Afghan national who has also served in the Afghan National Army (ANA) as a commander. He currently is said to be hiding in Kurram Agency.
The report further stated that the terrorists have already been dispatched to carry out the planned attacks.
The interior ministry has alerted all provincial home departments, provincial police chiefs and provincial heads of other Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), directing them to increase security across the country.
Security for journalists, media houses beefed
According to Journalism Pakistan, few media houses and television anchors have been provided with security after the TTP said it will target journalists and media houses perceived to be working against their extremist agenda.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik said additional police officers have been deployed to guard the offices of media organisations and policemen in plain clothes are assigned to protect anchorpersons.
TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsud has compiled a list of targets and directed the group’s fighters to launch attacks against national and international media outlets in the country, revealed an intelligence report. Several prominent journalists are on the list, it added.
Attack on Hafiz Saeed
The terrorists might have planned an attack on Hafiz Saeed, founder of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a circular issued by the NCMC revealed.
Targeting twin cities, K-P
Another threat alert stated that TTP terrorists are planning to carry out a terrorist attack on various targets in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. TTP operatives - Marchal and Karim Khan - have moved to Islamabad from Waziristan to execute their plans.
The report further revealed that a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) group has planned to assault Inspector General of Police K-P and kidnap foreigners particularly American and French nationals from Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The TTP Orakzai chapter is planning to target LEAs in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and surrounding areas shortly, the NCMC report added.
Tariq Geedar Group (TGG) of the TTP has planned to target Marriot Hotel in Islamabad, the interior ministry revealed.

Terrorist organizations like the TTP pose as much of a threat to the U.S. as they do to Pakistan. This is what the Taliban spokesman, Ahsanullah Ahsan, said after the attack on the U.S. convoy in Peshawar last year: "The diplomatic staff of all Nato countries are our targets. We will continue such attacks. Pakistan is our first target, and America is our second." We are fighting a common war. We share a common wish to see peace prevail throughout the region. These terrorists obviously see our nations as a common threat to their evil mission. We must stand together and combine our strength for the sake of achieving our common objectives.

Pakistan is trying to portray TTP as Afghanistan based and supported by Afghan army. Rehman Malik is also trying to show Hafiz Sayeed is a victim of terrorism hence he should not be blamed for 26/11. This is just propaganda.
Now everytime India asks for Hafiz Sayeed, Pakistan will say the poor chap is innocent since he is also a victim of terrorism and in fact he has made sacrifices to fight terror.
Haven't we heard this before each time US asks pakistan to do its bit to fight terror the standard reply is that "Pakistan itself is a victim of terrorism and has made immense sacrifices"

Imran Khan has offered a peace formula, if govt is interested in bringing peace to the country should follow Imran peace formula. But peace in Karachi is still a matter that need a military operation

such a joke. they are aware that 15 terrorists have 'entered' but did nothing to stop them? just like the attacks on the PAF base - they knew it would happen, but did nothing about it.

I think you meant to write "Ordnance" and not "ordinance". Ordinance is a government decree whereas ORDNANCE is the group/factory/department that makes artillery and guns etc.

Look at these diseased, coward and weaklings. These people call themselves warriors of God. They wouldn't even realize what happened to them and a drone takes them out. All they are capable of is fight in most cowardly ways, attack children and use humans as shields to commit most heinous sins. The TTP have already killed thousands of innocent Pakistanis and they have plans to kill and injure more. They see this as a way to disrupt peace efforts in the region and spread fear and chaos. These terrorists cannot be allowed to deter us from seeing security, stability and prosperity in the region. We will continue to work closely with the Pakistani government to achieve these objectives.

@Thinker: They are attacking POF which is located in Wah, near Taxilla, close to Islmabad and about hour and half drive from Peshawar.
Big task for just 15 terrorists, first they attack POF then they go and attack government schools then colleges and then sensitive installations and then kidnap some Americans and French nationals, wow,these must be supper terrorists. Is this guy really sane?
so they are coming again. great now MR khan must be planning a concession on attacking half of the sindh and give discounts by leaving half of it till his next march huh. These barbaric groups must be flushed asap with all means of war. pak military must put all their resources to combat them and there should me no peace treaty with such a group ever.
The interior ministry and law enforcing machinery can relax after issue of this warning as people are now themselves responsible for their own safety as the state is totally helpless as well as incapable to stop these suicide attacks or provide protection its people.
