Sectarian killings: Five ASWJ men gunned down
The armed attackers came on at least seven motorcycles and fired a volley of bullets at the victims.

Five Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat (ASWJ) activists were among eight people gunned down on Monday.
In a targeted attack near Abul Hassan Ispahani Road in Mobina Town police limits, four ASWJ workers were shot dead by unidentified assailants.
The armed attackers came on at least seven motorcycles and fired a volley of bullets at the victims, who were sitting at a perfume shop near the Siddiq-e-Akbar mosque. The attackers used 9mm pistols with silencers, police said.
Omar Haq Nawaz, 30, Qari Abdul Shakoor, 28, Imran Gul Karam Khan, 22, son and his elder brother, Asadullah, 28, were killed on the spot. Their bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
District West DIG Shahid Hayat confirmed the victims were associated with the religious outfit and may have been killed over sectarian differences.
“The targeted killing of our party men is a conspiracy to destabilise the country,” alleged ASWJ spokesman Maulana Taj Muhammad Hanafi.
Another ASWJ activist had earlier in the day been shot dead in Gulberg.
Two armed men on a motorcycle killed Abdul Hannan, 28, while he was sitting at his refrigerator repair shop.
In New Karachi, a Sunni Tehreek activist, Usman Qadri alias Lara, 26, was shot dead at the party office by two armed motorcyclists, Bilal Colony police said.
In Gulshan-e-Ghazi, a 45-year-old police constable was targeted.
An activist of Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi was killed while two others were wounded in a targeted attack within Landhi police remits.
